HELLO!

My name is Sarah B. Lange. I'm here to help you raise more money, build a better board, chart an exciting course for the future & brag about the good work you're doing!

Over the past three decades, I’ve worked with more than 200 nonprofits & raised over $80M -- and I’m still going strong!

I’m here to help you raise more money, build a better board, chart an exciting course for the future, and let the world know about the important & transformative work you’re doing.

I'll help you integrate better practices across the board so your organization can thrive!

What’s my secret sauce?

I adopt an out-of-the-box approach to fundraising, board development, strategic planning & communications by
infusing creativity with best practices to create better practices that work. I've worked with more than 200 of your peers & bring a wealth of experience & knowledge to the table.

Here’s the back story:

I have always been passionate about making the world a better place. When I was 4 years old, I dug up some arrowheads in our back yard, then threw a fit when I found out that Native Americans used to live on our land. My father tells me that I stood on a kitchen chair, hands on hips, chin out and INSISTED that we give our house back to the Indians!

That fire burns no less brightly today.

I’ve been working in the non-profit sector since I graduated from college. In 1999 — after more than a decade of working for individual nonprofits — I established my own consulting company so I could exercise my passion on a larger playing field and make a bigger impact.

Since then, I’ve had the honor of helping more than 200 nonprofits across the US & have raised $80M to support their causes.

My deepest desire is to help nonprofits adopt better practices so they can make a bigger impact in the world.

I consult, write blogs, articles, teach, run workshops, and make presentations at conferences in an effort to share my strategies and ideas with a larger audience.

When I’m not consulting, presenting, or writing, you’ll find me teaching at graduate students at Clark University. I’ve also held teaching posts at Boston University School of Social Work, Worcester State College, Assumption College, and UMass Boston.

Here’s what I bring to the table:

  • passion, enthusiasm, boundless energy and unwavering commitment
  • creativity and innovation – I combine insider knowledge of the sector with a business mindset
  • more than 30 years of nonprofit management and consulting experience
  • the experience of having worked with more than 200 of your peers
  • a deep knowledge of industry best practices
  • a commitment to providing coaching and capacity building as we work together so that your organization is stronger when our work is complete.

LET'S WORK TOGETHER

The Fundamental 5 for Fundraising

The Fundamental 5 is a framework I use to identify your strengths and where you're  leaving money on the table. Each piece of the framework addresses a different area: fundraising (grants and individual donor work), your board of directors, strategic planning, and marketing and communications. Each assessment tool is designed to help you identify and prioritize areas for growth. Then we'll work together to improve performance in that area, enabling you to raise more money and do more good.
